Vicki S. Blaylock is a Certified Paralegal through the National Association of Legal Assistants. She has been with Kain & Burke, PC since 1990. Originally from Illinois, she moved to Colorado in 1979. Vicki is married with two grown children. She focuses on estate planning and probate, as well as business law, real estate, and litigation support.

Her knowledge and expertise are based upon many years of experience and successful completion of a three‑year course of study to become a Certified Paralegal. She is constantly upgrading her knowledge through daily work at the law firm and through attendance of continuing education courses.

Christy Moore has been a paralegal since 1979. She spent 16 years at the District Attorney's Office, and has been with Kain & Burke, PC since 1998. Her experience encompasses case preparation for trial litigation, witness interviews, client preparation, trial experience in the courtroom, and attorney support throughout the litigation process.

Christy is a native of Colorado, and is married with three grown children. She works in the areas of criminal law, litigation, and family law. She has developed many contacts throughout Western Colorado, including court clerks and District Attorney's Office personnel, as well as friends in law enforcement. She holds the titles of Office Bookkeeper and Office Manager.

Susan Watson, Kain & Burke, PC's Runner/File Clerk, has been with the firm since 2007. Sue and her husband Fred moved to Grand Junction from Independence, Missouri in 1977. She has over 30 years' office experience, which includes working in Kansas City, Missouri for Waddell & Reed Life Insurance; Polled Hereford World Magazine, where she proofread ads, managed the filing system and developed photos for publication ads; VFW National Headquarters, where she was a secretary to the Adjutant General; and Livestock Marketing Insurance Agency, where she handled claims and assisted fellow employees. Sue's office experience in Grand Junction, Colorado includes working as a temp for Rocky Mountain HMO and Sundstrand Aviation.

Andrea Faudree, legal secretary, joined Kain & Burke, PC in 2009. She grew up on a sheep ranch in Loma, Colorado with her family, parents Speero and Mary Papas, sister Maria and brother Darius. Andrea and her husband Mark are proud to call the Grand Valley their home.

Andrea's career background includes general office/public relations, bookkeeping, and teaching. She coordinated the Higher Education Admissions Requirement program for Mesa State College, as well as the Cost of Care program for the Garfield County Sheriff's Office. She holds a BA in Communication/Journalism from the University of Northern Colorado and completed an Elementary Education licensing program at Mesa State College.

Valerie J. Kennedy is a Certified Paralegal through the Denver Paralegal Institute. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1991, majoring in International Affairs/Political Science with an emphasis on Economics. After completing her paralegal certification program, Valerie went to work for a medium-sized firm in Denver that eventually led to her employment with Dorsey & Whitney, an international firm with offices worldwide. After many years of developing her legal career, she ventured into motherhood while simultaneously building her own interior design business. Her legal career has now come full circle upon joining Kain & Burke, PC.

Valerie's legal expertise centers around business law, real estate, contracts, civil litigation (including domestic relations), and various other legal matters. She has solid experience in all stages of trial preparation and continues to refine her knowledge through continuing education and case work. A Colorado native, Valerie recently moved to Grand Junction from Parker, Colorado, with her husband and her two boys. She enjoys spending time with her parents and extended family who have lived in Mesa County for more than twenty years.
