William H. Kain has been a practicing attorney for many years, having been admitted to practice law in Colorado in 1977 and Utah in 1995. He was born on July 3, 1947 in York, Pennsylvania, and has resided in Colorado since 1965. Educated at the University of Denver and at Western New England College, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Master of Arts degree and a Juris Doctorate, cum laude. He has a post doctorate degree, an LLM in Estate and Gift Taxation. His commitment to excellence and scholarship has been rewarded by five American Jurisprudence Awards for Excellence. He is listed in Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities, and graduated cum laude in the top two percent of his law school class.
In addition to his years in the private practice of law, he has served as the District Attorney for the 21st Judicial District in Colorado, and prior to his appointment as the District Attorney, served as the Chief Assistant District Attorney. He held the position of Special Assistant United States Attorney for three years. In 1985, he was appointed by the governor of the state of Colorado to serve on the State Justice Assistance Advisory Board.
William H. Kain is a member in good standing before the Supreme Court of the states of Colorado and Utah, the United States District Court, and the United States Supreme Court. He is licensed to practice law in both Colorado and Utah. He is a member of the Mesa County Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association.
His law practice takes him throughout the states of Colorado and Utah to represent a wide variety of clients in both litigation and transactional law matters.
For seven years he served as a Municipal Court Judge.
